All,

Office 2003 Pro SP3
I have powerpoint templates that are used to show sales info. A process has
been developed using VBA to reload data from a RDMS on a weekly bases. And in
each presentation there are many imbedded charts.
I am working on a procedure to clear all of the data from the presentation
so that it can be kept as a template. And as a safeguard, the old data is
removed in the case that there are issues with the load process.
The problem is this. When issuing a ClearContents on the charts DataSheet,
All of the formatting is removed. I would like to retain the charts
formatting and remove only the data.
objDS.Cells.ClearContents
objChart.Save
objChart.Quit
removes aall formatting.
Is there a way to:
1) determine the UsedRange of the DataSheet as you can do in Excel.
or
2) ClearContents and retain the formatting.
This type of code:
for Each objCell in objDS.Cells
....
Next
Takes to long
I thought the difference in Clear(), ClearFormats() & ClearContents() was
obvious.
Thanks in Advance!
