msvrt.dll lost

i wa strying to sort out a problem with outlook when i was told to restart in
ms-dos mode and type rename c:\windows\system\msvcrt.dll msvcrt.old and
then copy c:\msvcrt.dll c:\windows\system.unfortunatly i made an error on the
second line and have now lost msvcrt.dll and cannot start my computer
without it asking for said file.is there any way of retreiving it or do i
have to buy windows and reinstall as it came already installed.many thanks

Can you restart in MS-DOS mode again, rename MSVCRT.OLD back to MSVCRT.DLL,
startup Windows then find where the file you meant to move went?
