Much too large font in sent emails

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC
Email Client: pop

Since I installed Office 2008 I have this problem: I write my mails in Arial 10pt, but the receivers (Windows AND Macs) see them in Arial 18pt. This looks weird. Does anyone know a solution?

Thanks Diane,
As suggested on the sites you mention, I turned off HTML and (since I'm Dutch) I changed the spellchecker to English, but the problem is the same as it was.

Did you quit and restart Entourage? Also try restarting computer to be sure
changes took place. The MSFT developer is monitoring this topic, so I'm sure
she will chime in soon.

Your advice was really helpful afterall! The spellchecker didn't appear to have much influence, but turning off HTML did the trick. It appeared that I also had to uncheck the option (in Preferences) that received mails keep their format when replied to.

I'm glad Diane's advice helped. However, I'm curious about the fact that
switching your dictionary to English and restarting Entourage did not help
with your font size in HTML emails. Can you please send an HTML email in
Arial 10pt to huchinATmicrosoftDOTcom (please modify accordingly) when you
get the chance? Thank you very much!

As a point of reference, my Fonts are jacked up in both HTML and plain text.
Nothing maps to the correct size and the HTML is serious off. I'm only using
English, never knew I had Dutch to choose from :D

Running Tiger with all current patches (10.4.11).

I am using an Exchange server natively and LDAP directory services via my
Active Directory.
