After frustration, trying to access an email account, setup in Entourage, that was
not on my ISP's mail server......and receiving error messages such as:
Unable to send and/or receive mail from multiple accounts in Entourage
authentication failures, invalid userid/password,
a connection failure has occurred -error 23016
could not retrieve mail from the account ........... error 3170
-I unchecked the advanced options box, in Panther system pref's. that calls
for 'send echo packets'............and now, I can send and recieve email from
the server and account setup in Entourage.
