multiple computers w/ exchange: how to delete messages?

If I have Entourage running on two computers, and I delete an e-mail from one of these two computers, it seems to re-appear a few minutes later. I suspect that the *other* (idle) Entourage session is getting that message 'restored' to the exchange server, and then that restored message gets *re*delivered to my active Entourage session.

Any way to say to circumvent this (besides being very carefully to not have Entourage running simultaneously on both machines, which does seem to do the trick)?

[Or if my theory about the re-appearing messages is totally bogus, that'd be worth knowing too. FWIW, I also get a fair number of duplicate messages.]

It is never advised that two copies of Entourage be running on the same data
at the same time. If you want to leave Entourage open on two computers, keep
one in work offline mode.
