Multiple critical paths

Jan M.

Hi,

I have selected the "Calculate multiple critical paths" option. I thought
this would make all tasks without any successor critical. This is not the
case since I have a couple of tasks with no successors that don't show as
critical.

Do I miss something here?

Thanks

Hi Jan.

I'm talking about tasks that are 0% complete with no successors, constraints
or deadlines. I noticed that MS Project did not set the late finish dates of
those tasks to be the same as their early finish dates (as it should do when
ones selects Multiple critical paths right?).

I'm using MS Project Professional 2002 SP-1.

Thanks

Hi Jan,

Funny.
On the same version I tried a small case and it sets them critical allright.
Can you send me the file?
My email address is on my website.

Hey Jan, I've found the solution: the task is not critical because there is a
successor on its summary task.

Thanks

Can't resist the opportunity to point out that this in yet another
example of why Summary Tasks shouldn't be linked!
