Multiple duplicates of contacts after sync

Just moved from Mail/iCal/Address Book to Entourage. A smooth transition for the email and calendar part but the Address Book sync'ing is driving me mad. No matter what, I get duplicates of contacts and this just gets worse with each attempted re-sync.
Oddly, back in Address Book, all is well and no duplicates.
Is this a known issue? Any work around?

I have this problem as well. I selected and unselected sync for my
contacts several times, but I would eventually get duplicates and
triplicates. I went through and deleted from Entourage every
duplicate contact. For me, it was the second iteration of each
contact that I could safely delete without effecting the contacts in
Address Book. I would test this on your machine first, otherwise you
might loose contact information. At this point, this seems to have
fixed the problem.

The problem still exists following today's (3/11) Office 2008 upgrade. I seem to notice the duplicates popping up after iSync runs - and particularly after I add a new contact in the mac Address Book rather than Entourage. They sync fine - albeit while duplicating themselves in the Entourage's address book. Does anyone know if a solution/fix is forthcoming? Thx.

Perhaps iCal or your other sources have duplicates and they need to be
cleared. I would delete duplicates in my primary source while Sync Services
is turned off. Delete contacts in all other sources then turn on Sync
Services setting Entourage as primary source.
