Hello,

I have two email [email protected] and [email protected] and when I used thunderbird, I could
have separate email folder trees and retrieve, read, organize and send for
the two accounts independently. It seems as though this is not possible
with Entourage.

Is this the case?
Does it depend on whether they are pop or imap accts? both are pop
If I create different identities for the two accounts, will I be able to
integrate calendar, tasks, projects, etc. between the two accounts?

Basically I want one calendar, tasks, projects ect, I just need to keep the
mail separate. I've tried to research this, but I can't find any straight
answers.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Paul,

Indeed it does. IMAP accounts are treated separately in Entourage, whereas
POP accounts all go into the folders located in the "On My Computer"
section.
If I create different identities for the two accounts, will I be able to
integrate calendar, tasks, projects, etc. between the two accounts?

No, not unless you use some server-based solution such as Exchange, and you
might have problems even then. There is a far easier solution available: use
rules to move messages sent to each account into different folders. Create
two subfolders in your local inbox, one for each account. Under Tools>Rules,
create a rule that automatically moves messages sent to your [email protected]
account into the appropriate folder, and another rule for the [email protected]
account. Create subfolders for the Sent Items folder as well, and using
Outgoing rules, you can instruct Entourage to sort these outgoing messages
automatically into their separate folders.

Alternatively, the easiest solution would be to change your accounts from
POP to IMAP, but depending on the service provider, this may not be
possible.
