Multiple In-Boxes?

Hello:

I was wondering if I can setup Entourage to have two In-boxes for two
different email accounts; I¹ve tried setting up folders with rules to move
email etc., but it¹s not working consistently.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Kevin

If they are IMAP accounts, they will automatically get their own Inboxes. If
they are POP, they all come through one box, but you should be able to fix
that with Rules. What kind of problems are you having with your rules?
Remember that (in the default setting), only the first rule that is
applicable to a given message will be applied.

Thanks Ed:

They are POP server accounts.(

What do you mean by the default setting? Are you talking about within the
criterion within the rule itself? OR the separate rules?

I have two rules setup as follows:

Rule 1) If Recipient IS "[email protected]" MOVE to <Inbox/name1>

Rule 2) If Recipient IS "[email protected]" MOVE to <Inbox/name2>

Is this correct?

Also, do I have to turn OFF "Do not apply other rules ..." ?

Thanks for your help!
Kevin

I was wondering if I can setup Entourage to have two In-boxes for two
different email accounts;

See rule Move messages from each POP account to it's own Inbox.
I have two rules setup as follows:

Rule 1) If Recipient IS "[email protected]" MOVE to <Inbox/name1>

Rule 2) If Recipient IS "[email protected]" MOVE to <Inbox/name2>

Use categories instead of actual addresses.

While I agree that using categories is better than using specific recipient
names, I don't understand why Kevin's rules wouldn't do the job. Any ideas?

They will work, but he will have to include every individual address for
that person and he will have to create a rule for each person. Using
categories is a blanket rule.

It's really easier to use the rule for account to inbox rather than by
person.
