The only thing I would add to Mickey's answer is that if you like the first
option - keeping everything private in separate identities - you should
probably go one step further and make separate OS X accounts in System
preferences / Accounts.
The reason I say this is that if you simply make separate Entourage
identities within one OS user account, then every time someone comes in and
wants to switch to his own identity, you first have to save every document
in every Microsoft Office application - Word, Excel, PowerPoint - and quit
them, as well as MSN Messenger if it's open. (This is because all Office
apps access the current Entourage identity's address book, scrapbook, etc.)
This can be a very big nuisance.
With separate OS user accounts in Panther and Tiger (OS 10.3 and 10.4), each
user has a separate Entourage identity naturally. But - much more useful -
you can Enable "Fast User Switching" in System
Preferences/Accounts/[unlock]/Login Options . That way you don't have to
quit anything at all. Just switch to the new user, check messages, reply,
switch back to original user, etc. etc. It may mean that you'll want to save
many documents to the "Shared" user in /Users/Shared/, so that everyone can
get to them. I guess that can be a bit of a nuisance too, but much easier to
deal with, I think.
