Multiple instances of MS-Outlook 2002

I'm having a big problem.
I recently installed MS-Office XP 2002 SP-2 with Front
Page unto my computer.
Before i noticed that whenever I boot my computer, MS-
Outlook would simply pop-up. Upon trying to close the
application the following message would appear:

"A dialog box is open. Close it and continue" -OK-

After clicking on OK, multiple instances of Outlook would
appear--up to (20) instances of the MS-Outlook application.
Trying to use the "Close Group" command on the taskbar
button, yields no results. Instead I continually have to
close each instance of the application ONE AT A TIME.

This is extremely annoying, but the strange part is that i
can still send & receive email.

I recently updated to Office XP SP-3 as recommended by
Microsoft, in an attempt to repair the problem with
Outlook--still no success as the same thing happens, not
only when i initiate a cold boot, but every (10 minutes)
while i'm working.

Oddly enough, the other apps within Office XP SP3
i.e :Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint,Front Page DO NOT
HAVE THIS PROBLEM!!

What is wrong with Outlook?!! HELP ME PLEEEEAAAZE!!!

Any credible assistance would be appreciated.

My system specs include:

512 MB SDRAM PC133 memory
80 GB Hard Drive
nVidia GeForce MX2/400 64 MB AGP (4x)
