Multiple screen resolutions - Problem!

Marcus

I'm deploying a form being used on multiple PCs with multiple resolutions.
I'm using some "layered" boxes to show/hide something on the form

On some computers those objects are perfectly aligned....on others no, you
can see the borders of hidden objects.

In a word: it looks like the proprtions aren't being respected when
switching resolutions..

Any hint?

Update:
the displays are actually working at the same 1280*1024 resolution, but they
aren't using the same font DPI scaling..... could it be that?

How can I fix the problem? And shouldn't tezt boxes keep the same
size regardless font size/DPI scaling/resolution?
You expect Windows to be logical?

Seriously, why are you layering the boxes,? th show/hide controls on
a form, use the controls' .visible property.

There are third-party form scaling solutions available that might help
adjust your forms for different font size/DPI settings:

A shareware version of a form rescaling module I wrote called
ShrinkerStretcher is available at this web site: http://www.peterssoftware.com/ss.htm

There's a form resizer at http://www.jamiessoftware.tk/resizeform/rf_jump.html
..

Another one: http://sourceforge.net/projects/modscaleform

The Access Developer's Handbook has form resizing code included:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=0782119417/107-8064361-7403703

Hope this helps,
