Multiplying Messages In Entourage 2004

I'm having a problem with my Entourage. Basically, old messages keep multiplying, such that I'll have 2, 3 or 4 copies of the same email. I¹ve tried to delete multiples but they then come back. I¹ve rebuilt my database but then the problem happens again. Is there anyway to automatically delete the multiple, or at least to make sure they don¹t still keep coming back if I go through manually and delete them?
I am using Entourage 2004.

What version of Entourage and what OS are you using?

What type of account? (POP, IMAP, Exchange)

Is this happening when you download? More details on what is involved in the
duplication process.

In the mean time, use one of the remove duplicates scripts.

This script uses a thorough method of examining message
headers that guarantees it won't mistakenly mark two messages that
happen to have the same subject as duplicates.

This script takes a lot more time than the other scripts. I've used them all
with no problems.
