We've finally got almost everything functioning properly and I'd like to say
THANKS to the MVPs and MS folks. Without their assistance we would not have
been able to do the job.
I'm fairly certain our success is tenuous, unique to our physical
installation and netadmin's or sysadmin's numerous fetishes, and the
operational status could change at any instant.
We had to start from scratch with a New Exchange Account and we set it up
manually:
1. overrode the DEFAULT LDAP PORT and put in our own port number
2. hard coded the IP address and appended /public to the FREE/BUSY SERVER
3. unchecked just about all "requires secure connection" options
Whatever else happened is a mystery to me.
