My "add to contacts" button is greyed out. How do I enable it?

I am using Microsoft Exchang Server 2003 with Outlook 2003. The "add to
contacts" button is greyed out in the address book, under the "File" menu in
the address book, and is not an option when the properties of the contact is
displayed. How do I enable this option?

Add contacts using your Contacts folder. Never manipulate contacts using
the Address Book interface.
