My contact data base won't associate with my emails

Hello, anyone have any idea why my contacts that I down load from my palm are
all in my outlook data base but when I try and send an email and select a
contact it has no contacts to associate? what can I do

I'm hard-pressed to know what you mean by "has no contacts to associate".
Describe the exact steps to reporduce what you see. Be sure to state your
Outlook version and your account type.
