When viewing a slide show in normal view, i scroll to the next slide and then
go back to the 1st slide. When I retrurn to the slide the Pictures seem to be
sent to the back and aren't visible.. I know they are ther because i can edit
and select all and the "place holder" is there. What do i do to keep these
pictures from being sent to the back

I don't think they're being sent to the back, I think you're just
experiencing a display issue.

Try changing hardware acceleration.

No they are Just regular picutres that have been inserted into the slide.
When you scroll through the slides via mouse wheel or scroll bar the images
(not all) are " sent to the back"

BTW, im am using office 2003 sp1
Thank you

Did you try Echo's suggestion? Do you know that they are actually sent to back,
or are they just not visible?

Well,
I can select the picture even though it isn't visible and change the order
to bring to front. I did try Echo's suggestion and still no luck.

I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled..;. no luck>>>even deleted all
registry keys.... no luck there either.... ......I also deleted the office
out of application data and local settings... still no luck of course I
reinstalled after wards.

Echo S,
I brought the accelleration all the way down to the lowest setting which had
no effect. Any more ideas

Only other thing I can think of is to update your video driver.

Are you positive SP-1 is installed on Office 2003? This sounds so very much
like one of the common display issues that SP fixed... You might check
Help/About just to be 100% sure it says SP-1.
