My XP logon icon reports the wrong number of unread messages

How do I get my login icon for XP to report the correct number of unread
messages I have in outlook. It doesn't make any difference how many messages
I delete or whether or not I mark all messages read, my XP logon still
reports 102 unread messages.

Outlook has nothing to do with it. See
