We recently imported an address book from Outlook Express (on a different
Mac) into Entourage on a new ibook. When addressing new e-mails, and
entering the first letters of the addressee, the alphabetical list that
comes up includes NAMES WE HAVER NEVER SEEN BEFORE. These names are NOT in
the address book. The only way I could delete one of them was to use it as a
to address in an e-mail draft, add it to the address book, and delete it
from there. The same procedure would not work on the other addresses....
they would not show up in the address book after the same procedure was
tried. As of this morning a new mystery name/address seems to have appeared
in the alpha listings.
Is it possible these names are coming in through some corruption via spam?
Is there a way there could be a hidden second address book? Very unusual.
