I recently sat for Excel 2002 and ecountered a question
which asked me to create a name and further asked me to
use the name against a formular in a cell. i got the
creation of the name correct, but i think i got using the
name against the formular in the cell wrong. I would like
to know what the question demanded: wheather it was
asking for division, multiplication, substaction or
addition. I welcome your help ASAP. I'm to resit again in
the next couple of days. thanks

Without knowing the exact wording of the question, it's impossible to
know the correct answer. You can use names in formulas with any of the
operators that you mentioned. For example:

=B2*Tax
=Income-Expense
