How do I put narration and sound on the same presentation?

Is there a way to go back to particular slide and change
the narration without having to redo the entire narration?

Does Slide Show/Record Narration not work for you?
Is there a way to go back to particular slide and change

Yes. Just go back to that slide, hit Record Narration again, and speak
to that slide. Then hit ESC. Say yes to save. Your other slide
narrations should still be there.
