need a piece of coding

Dick

I have a web site that is just tables of products.
Customers basicly find the item they want to purchase, go
to a ordering form page, fill in their shipping info and
the product they want to order, click on place order and
they are done. It is not a shopping cart because the
customer puts all the info in themself, if the want to go
back to shop some more they hit the back button on the
browser.
I am very happy with my web page and only want to add a
piece of code that will allow my customer to click on a
product in the tables and have that item show up on the
ordering form, instead of them having to add the item by
themselves (which they do now by either copy and paste or
just typing it in).
Would someone please tell me how to do this. So far all I
get is programmers wanting to build me shopping carts.
To see what I am talking about see www.saveontoner.com
Thank you in advance

I did something like this a long time ago. It was basically an order form
where you put in the qty and it would multiply the qty * price for each line
and then add up the total at the bottom. I don't have the code but it
should be pretty easy to do with javascript. It's also pretty easy to do
with perl on the server side using cgi. I'm thinking of doing it for my
site now. Do you know any programming languages like javascript or perl?

No I don't know any. But I think I need something
different. I just want the customer to click on the
product and it ends up on an order form. Nothing needs
to be summed up

Dick, you need to do more than add a "piece of code".
When I went to your site i could not reach it with www in
the addtess. I had to use http://saveontoner.com
You are also asking for credit card numbars on an unsecure
page. I would not buy from you because of this.

Last, why reinvent the wheel?
You have enough products to warrent a shopping system. The
good ones will also help you with security when
collecting, storing, and accessing credit card numbers.

If you do a search for free shopping carts you will have
your pick.

Productions.com is my pick in a professional program. I've
used it in building medium, (150 products), and large
(350,000 products), shopping systems and it is very
powerful, not to mention secure.

I guess you could just create a for with some dropdown boxes with the items
listed in it.
