You will have to look harder, we can't help you look for them, I'm sure
you understand about you being there, and we are not.

why even bother responding? I know you can't help me locate them here. I
was sort of hoping there would be a source for the file that MS would be able
to provide me.

I'm sorry I ever posted the message after reading your response. Are you a
mircrosoft employee? I'm assuming you are and, if so, it's no wonder that
microsoft has the reputation they have for customer service (actually, lack
of it.).

There is - if you have lost your disks and have proof of purchase, then
Microsoft will replace them for a small fee. However, mainstream support for
Office 2000 was retired in June 2004 so your best bet may be Ebay.......

No one here is a Microsoft employee unless they specifically state so in
their signature.

1. Lighten up. You said that it was there. Ergo you need to look harder.
2. That "file" is only the first one of many that you are going to need,
you would spend the rest of your life posting these kind of messages.
3. The file is on the CD, and it is out of print, as in MS doesn't have
any copies any more.
4. No need to be sorry, but you may need to rethink your approach to
requesting assistance.
5. Unfortunately you keep making incorrect assumptions one after another.
A. This is a peer to peer newsgroup, not Microsoft.
B. I am not a Microsoft employee, and neither are 99.9% of the people
that post here.
C. The inferred customer service or lack there of has no bearing on the
fact you can't find your CD for a Office suite that is past support and
out of print.

By the way I hope you find your CD as about the only way you can get
them now is if you find them at a rummage sale or on EBAY.
