Need Help, desperately!

Brian's New Exchange

I am working on an office network that is 85% PC based (17 PC and 3 MAC¹s)
the Network Administrator has no clue about MAC¹s. The box that I am using
is a G-5 with a recent operating system update to OS X 10.4.5. Every since
the upgrade to Tiger Entourage (10.1.6) has gone crazy. Every connection to
the server creates an error message, ³Mail could not be received at this
time,² and ³The server returned the following error. Unrecognized internal
error: 0x800cce05.² However, not only does it send and receive, but it
receives two copies of every email. The two other MAC¹s are G-4¹s running
Tiger and Jaguar with no problems handling email. One other symptom is it
constantly crashes. Almost every time I try to send email. Most recently all
my created mailboxes disappeared even from the server.

I have searched every Knowledge Base I can find with no success and I have
rebuilt the database six ways form Sunday. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Entourage X essentially uses IMAP for e-mails on Exchange (Entourage
2004 uses WebDAV isntead). It looks to me like an error on the server.
The admin should take a look. There might be something corrupted with
that account that generates these problems. I wonder whether you'd see
the same type of problem setting up the account as a simple IMAP
account.

You can try rebuilding the database on Entourage. THat might help.
