Need Help re Outlook 2003

I have had Outlook 2003 on my PC for a couple of months, but did not have
the need to print an e-mail until now. When it prints, it's just a box on
the page that is shaded gray. There is no writing whatsoever. I have an HP
Officejet printer that is over 4 years old but have a new Dell PC.

My questions are:
Is the printing problem an Outlook 2003 problem?
Is the printing problem a printer compatibility problem? (I have the most
current printer drivers.)
