Robert Knauf

Hi folks,

I've got a little problem while sending contacts from Entourage 2004 (Mac)
to Outlook 2004 (PC) by email. The Notes in these contacts are sometimes
missing. There is no prob when sending from PC to MAC.

Does anybody knows this problem? How can I get rid of this? I hope you can
help me!

Thanks Robert

I don't think you want to get rid of anything, do you? You'd like Outlook to
include the Notes when receiving vCards, right?

Entourage exports the Notes just fine. It must be Outlook that's not
interpreting them correctly.

It depends on the recipient's email client (I assume you mean Outlook 2003,
since there's no 2004). It must be reading vCards incorrectly - quite
possibly to do with line endings in the Notes. When it finds a Mac line
ending it must be interpreting that as the end of the vCard. It may enter
just one line of the Note. If that first line is blank, that's all you'll
get. Going the other direction, Entourage does not make such a stupid
assumption and it understands Windows Line endings OK.

What happens if you remove line breaks in the Entourage note? Delete them
and replace them by spaces, or multiple spaces. Now send. Do these work OK?
