Need help with Password Error

I am still getting the error "incorrect password or user name" come up. I
know I have to delete a corrupt file. I'm trying to find out what file it
is and where is it stored. I deleted all the prefs, but when I go to
recreate the account, all the settings are still there. This leads me to
believe there is either a hidden file or another file stored somewhere
besides in prefs. Anyone have any info on this?

This is usually due to keychain corruption.

Pre-Panther there was a separate apple utility called 'Keychain First Aid'
that would fix things up. For Panther this is built in to the Keychain
Access utiltity. See this doc:
