Your most important issue would be what your host supports. You may want to check with them first for a recommendation or what types of scripting they support (asp, .Net, php, etc..)
There are many of shopping carts out there that can be used with any html editor and several that integrate into FrontPage. I personally use StoreFront (.Net) for all my stores, but this is expensive and does require some code knowledge if you want to tweak it. Also you would need to be very careful using FP 2000 and .Net.
