Need to create new keychain?

I recently set up a new email account on entourage for let's say
"johnsmith". I went into TOOLS and ACCOUNTS and double clicked on
"johnsmith" and it opened. I then plugged in the password and clicked "save
password in my MAC OS keychain" and I got the message "A keychain cannot be
found to store "johnsmith". And it gives me the choice of canceling or
resetting to default. I keep clicking cancel.

So, is it that I need to create a new keychain? If so, how do I do that? If
not, what do I do?

I will note that I am able to receive email for this user, but that each
time I must enter in the password.
