need to remove menu bar add-in

L

Larry D

I was checking out some software for a newsletter and it has an add-in that
added some text to the menu bar of any new message. I decided against the
software, uninstalled it but the text is still there in my menu bar after
the Save and before the Print buttons. I checked under Tools, Options,
Other, Advanced, Com Add-ins and Add-in Manager but nothing is there. How do
I remove this menu item? TIA, Larry

I could not find a way to remove it following your advice but you did put me
on the right track. I use Word to edit my email messages and realized that
the toolbar addition was there also. I went into Tools > Customize > Command
and had the option to reset my normal.dot file. When I did that the extra
menu item disappeared.
