Nested folders/groups don't send

David Moreland

I have used nested groups for years without problem in all versions of
Entourage and Outlook Express but they don¹t work in Entourage 2004. What¹s
changed?
The error seems to indicate the offending subfolder should be an email
address.

The error is probably indicating that one of the members of the nested group
does not have a proper email address.

All address¹s are correct. Just retested. These are teachers at my school
who I have been sending to for years. What I have noticed is that when I
send to a single group (successfully) without any nested groups, Sent Items
displays all recipients individually in other words the group has been
³unpacked² so to speak. If that is how Entourage (2004 Version 11.1.0
(040913)) behaves could it have trouble unpacking subgroups in order to
send?
Is anyone else able to send to a Group containing Subgroups of address¹s?

Re: Nested folders/groups don't sendDavid, I have the same probelm. If I expand the groups, all recipients get the email and I get no bounces.

These are groups that were working fine for many, many months before the upgrade to Office 2004.

Well that makes two people confirming the issue.
Anyone else have this problem or interested in testing it for themselves?
A few more cases might help to get something moving. Besides it worked fine
in Office X.

I confirm this. Nested groups do not send from Entourage 2004, even if
neither the outer group (the recipient) nor the nested group is marked "Do
not show addresses when sending to group". I'll report this on. You can too,
in Help/Send Feedback.
