Nesting inside COMBO BOX

I have a combo box with many entries that could be put into categories, i.e.
Surgery, Radiology, Lab, etc.
I'm looking for a way in access for the user to easily navigate to their
department in the list then select from the department specifc list rather
than scrolling through the 30+ entries.

The simplest way to do this might be to have two combo boxes on the
form, one for department, one for the list appropriate to that
