Hi:
A rather technical questions about my anti-spy wear software and its
behavior when checking my email.
I use Netbarrier X4 and have it set to deny any internet connections I have
not authorized.
I use Entourage from Office 2004 for my email. When I go to get or send
email, I get a warning that "LaunchCFMApp" is trying to make an internet
connection. However, a search does not find an application called
LaunchCFMApp, and so I can't add it to the trusted list.
From a LaunchCFMApp crash log, I see that LaunchCFMApp is a command issued
by Parent: WindowServer [70]. And, of course, I see no application with
that name either. The obvious, adding Entourage itself to the list of
applications permitted to connect does not help.
How do I get Netbarrier to learn this is an authorized connection?
Thanks
By the way, here's what I've found out about LaunchCFMApp
