Network slows down when Mac's open Entourage

We are experiencing a problem that the PC side of the network slow
right down - Exchange comes up with an error - trying to connect to
Exchange - although you are connected - it takes forever to reply or
post an entry in the calendar. If we restart IIS everyone works fine
for a couple of minutes - help please urgently!

I'm not quite sure what you're describing. Are you saying that when an
Entourage user connects that all Outlook users' connections slow down?

I know of a problem specific to Exchange 2003 sp1 for which Microsoft
has released a hotfix. (sp2 also resolved this issue.) See this KB
article: KB836857.

If this doesn't describe your problem please post back with some more
details.
