New created Calendar Item not updated in Exchange and colleaguesfree/busy problem

Patrick Ostertag

I use Entourage 2004 with Exchange 2003 server via OWA URL
(https://servername/Exchange).

Our Exchange server is protected by an intern firewall.

First problem:

When I Create a new calendar Item :
It is created in Entourage database
But it is not created in Exchange server.

All calendar Item created from another Outlook client ou via OWA figure in
my Entourage calendar.

Second problem:
I can't see my colleagues free/busy Information.

Any idea.

On new event: make sure it's synced up to the server. You can select your
calendar, contextually click on it, and choose Synchronize Now from the
menu. This will force Entourage to try and update it on your server.

On free/busy: make sure that you have your Public Folder server configured
within the Advanced tab of your Exchange account settings. Typically, the
server address is something like servername/public. Also, it sounds like
your org uses SSL, so make sure you flip the "Use SSL" checkbox below.

All Free/Busy info is housed on your public folder servers, so Entourage
must be able to find those servers in order to display free/busy.

Thank you for your answer Andy.

I have already checked these 2 points... No success.

Do you know if this can be a IP port filtering problem.... Even I use OWA on
HTTPS.

Is there particular configation on OWA Server or Exchange Server to do
Entourage work successfuly ??? We use 2 differents servers. I have only
these 2 problems, all other features are OK.

Pat.

There's nothing special that needs to be configured. A lot of orgs, for
security reasons, block certain HTTP verbs using a tool called URLScan. You
might want to make sure the server is configured properly for the verbs
needed by Entourage:
