New e-mail arrives but does not show

I've done..
Run|outlook /cleanview
Scanpst.ex
the built-in repair utilit
downloaded SP3 and post hot-fixes... nothing.
The inbox has the total of "in" e-mail at the bottom and 6 unread messages, but no e-mail can be viewed.

Okay, I went out & got a NEW suite ~ MS Office XP, when it loaded it asked me to uninstall the whole (old) software which seemed logical to me, I did, then it installed. I got the two Service Packs and post-sp hotfixes loaded, ran RegClean, Defragged the hard-drive and it's STILL DOING IT
I went to the Exchange 5.5 Server and stopped the exchange service, ran an entire NAV Scan, nothing. It works on another machine, anyone out there??
