New Entourage for Exchange problem

S

Scott Beach

List Folk:
I'm getting the error "Invalid account ID or password. Check your account
settings." and the note that it's "Error: 11003" when I try to retrieve
messages with my newly updated Entourage X. I know that the account and
password are correct because I'm on and off the Exchange server with Outlook
2001 as needed. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I've get the same error. It comes down to an issue this client not
understading the Exchange config.

It will work if you set the accounts back to "username"@local for the
default account and primary email address.

However changing our AD & Exchange config is not an option in our
environment. Still digging for a another solution to this problem.

Please let me know anyone can shed some more light on this.

Thanks.

I don't know why, but when I had this problem, it was solved bt trying
to send an email. When I hit send, an error said my username and
password were not entered, would I like to do that now? I entered them
in the resulting dialog and all was fine from there. Again, not sure
why that got everything working, but maybe it will work for you.

A word of warning: it took all morning for Entourage sync all the
folders with the exchange server, and other than a small message at
the bottom right of the window, there was no progress indicated. Be
patient!

I found that if you have your network admin reset your password you
should be alright.
