new entries I save don't show up in the address book list???

When I click on the address book icon and then click "file/new
entry/contacts" and then make an entrey and click "Save and Exit", the entry
does not appear in the address book list that appears when you click the
address book icon -- and I cannot find the entry. However, if I try to
re-enter it, I get the message that it already exists. Help???

Never use the address book to enter or edit data. That's not what it's for.
You'll have no idea where the item ends up (indeed you don't).
Contact Data is entered in Contacts Folders.
