New Fiber, now requres a "Root Certificate"???

I helped a friend get set up with AT&Ts new fiberoptic service. He
uses Entourage for email and after carefully following all of the
setup instructions and Port overrides as directed (it all works). His
domain mail that he picks up (for sending he uses AT&T outgoing smtp
server) works,but frequently is interrupted demanding a new ROOT
Certificate. The jargon used involves CAs and use of terminal.
Honestly way above my area of competence. Is there some simple
solution?

Launch Safari and connect to the OWA page (webmail) for the account.
You should get a warning about authentication.
In this warning, you should have the option to view the details,
revealing the icon of a certificate.
Drag this icon (the big one) to the desktop to bet a .cer file.
You can then double-click the file to trigger Keychain.app to import it.
The app will ask you where to import it. Select the X509Anchors in the
list and click OK.
That *should* do the trick,

Thank you for your response. AT&T has unblocked port 25, but the
problem persists. Hesitantly, I have to confess that I don't know what
an OWA is. Once I learn what that is, your instructions seem pretty
straightforward and I'd like to try them.
