At
www.versiontracker.com, I noticed a few people reported problems
downloading from that site or updating.
Here's what worked:
1. Going under the Entourage "Help" Menu and clicking on "Check for
Updates".
2. I updated the Auto Update feature of Office 2004 in November to version
1.1.2. That version is required for the built-in update feature to
effectively operate.
2. Normal execution of cron daily, weekly and monthly tasks by Macaroni,
plus execution of Repair Permissions, probably helped in making the update
of the junk e-mail filter go well.
3. Ran Repair Permissions after update with no indicators of problems.
4. Checked with Get Info to make sure Junk E-Mail Protection file had
updated to 11.1.0.
5. Junk E-Mail filter does what it's supposed to do. A few genuines get in
there on occasion, but that's easily correctable by adding addresses to
Entourage address book or creating Rules to move certain keyword subject
lines etc to in-box subfolders.
