New mail has arrived notice

We have recently upgraded to MS outlook 2003 and have the
following problem:-

When new mail arrives the notification that is displayed
only remains for 30seconds maximum. This presents us the
problem that if we leave our desk and a message arrives
by the time we return the message has disappered and
short of maximising oulook it is difficult to see that
new mail has arrived.

Is there a way of reproducing the old "New mail has
arrived, would you like to read it now?" dialog box as
per the old outlook?
