New mail has arrived

Since we have upgraded to Office 2003, several users have complained about
only having the "toast" message that alerts you of new mail, they prefer
the old style "You have new mail" message box that appeared and stayed there
until you acknoledged it.

Is there a way or a 3rd party utility to add this function?

You can simulate the old alert by turning off the current new message alert
and creating a rule that does nothing other than pop-up an alert when a
message arrives.
