Hi All,

Here's my issue: New Mail Not Showing Up in Entourage/Exchange Until You
Purge the Cache

It seems that new mail is not showing up until you "Empty Cache" on
Entourage. It seems to connect to the Server, update items and VOILA, no new
mail.

If you purge the cache or do a database rebuild, you get the new mail.
Otherwise, no dice.

I'm running 11.3.4 on Tiger (PPC).

I don't know why that would happen. Have you tried repairing the message
list (Option-Command-L)? Sometimes that works in place of emptying the
cache and re-downloading the message list. You shouldn't need to do that
regularly though.

What version of Exchange is it? Are you connecting via the Exchange account
type in Tools > Accounts?

I have a client who also has this problem.

I've deduced that it is some preference file somewhere, not Microsofts'.

Possibly kechain related or some other user/OS preference.

Logging into a new user account and creating a new identity is the only way
so far to rid the problem.

(new identity in the original user account does not resolve the issue)
