New mail popup notify window absent

Hello. Recently the new mail popup notify window went absent. It does not
pop up or fade in, beautifully, as it has done in the past.

I have checked the preferences and the option is enabled.

I am sensing there is a preferences file mishap. That's a whim however.

I'd appreciate any feedback I can get. Thanks; regards,

It may not popup when Entrouage is active (the currently displayed program
in your menu bar).

Try switching to the finder (or other app) after clicking send/receive.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried and the results are the same; no popup
window notification.

Perhaps there is a way to clear/refresh the Entourage preferences file to
re-enable this valuable feature?

In the prefs, under ŒNotification¹ you need to have ³display an alert on my
desktop² checked.

Thanks for the help Barry. As I mentioned in my original post the option
within preferences is enabled. What else could be causing such behavior?
