New Post vs. Reply

This is a question regarding this Discussions Group. If I locate an old post
(by someone else) which addresses my concern, but I have an additional
question, should I REPLY within the post or create a NEW post? I'm wondering
if a reply to an old post, especially one that has been successfully
answered, would ever be noticed. However, I don't want to create a new post
if that's contrary to good ettiquette. Please advise. Thanks!

Due to the reasons you observed, please start your own thread with
particulars. Also, most times, only some of the symptoms are the same,
so the actual problem is different and the wrong symptoms will only
confuse the issue.
