New tasks added this morning are gone now

After really enjoying this product, I lept in with both feet and added all sorts of new tasks to track (about 10 only). Total number of tasks, around 20. When I returned hours later this day, I found all of my work had not been saved. What happened? Each of my tasks was saved and I saw it on the screen this morning. Furthermore, all of the category assignments not only from today but from previous days also, were lost. Am running a MacPro.

It's possible your permissions are set to read only. You can test by
creating a new User in System Preferences and test there.

You could also have View set to Complete Tasks. Look under View in the menu
bar. This is a common mistake for viewing messages. Users will select Unread
only or Flagged only so messages seem to disappear.

Not sure what is going on with the category problem. Describe exactly what
you did and where you are not seeing categories assigned.
