I just migrated from Windows to Mac and Outlook to Entourage and i
have run into some usage problems, can someone help?
1. In Outlok, i can write e-mails in nice outline format with number/
alpha bullets but in Entourage, i only get numbered or bulleted
outline and no sub indents, an i doing something wrong?\
2. When i type a web address or link, it doesn't show up in blue and
underline but in the Sent folder it is, is this correct?
3. When i try to bring in something from Excel, the grid setup is
gone. In Outlook, i can do a spreadsheet within the Outlook e-mail
which i am composing.
4. When i forward a mail from someone and it has a chart of numbers
or something like that, on teh forward mail, the chart / spreadsheet
is completely messed up...

Did Microsoft purposely make Entourage a lesser program than Outlook
or is it just me?
thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi Walter!

My comments are inline with yours.

You can use the Increase and Decrease Indenting buttons to get the "sub
indents" you're after.
2. When i type a web address or link, it doesn't show up in blue and

Entourage will not display the links as clickable but once received, the
recipient's email client will make the links clickable. You must be sure
to include the " http:// " before the address.
3. When i try to bring in something from Excel, the grid setup is
gone. In Outlook, i can do a spreadsheet within the Outlook e-mail
which i am composing.

Be sure that you're message is being composed at HTML using the Format
--> HTML menu command. Then use the Edit --> Paste Special --> Paste as
Picture command. Optionally, you can attach the spreadsheet to the
message if it needs to be edited by the recipient.
4. When i forward a mail from someone and it has a chart of numbers
or something like that, on teh forward mail, the chart / spreadsheet
is completely messed up...

Use the Forward as Attachment command rather than the Forward command.
Entourage can do simple HTML (styled text, bullets, indents) but can not
do complex HTML (embedded hyperlinks, tables, fields).

Entourage is not Windows Outlook's Macintosh counterpart. Although it is
Microsoft's official Exchange client for Mac, Entourage has a different
development background than Outlook for Windows or the old Outlook for
Mac.

Hope this helps! bill
