new to OL 2003 - Reminder window

After right clicking and marking a task as completed in the Reminder window,
it does not go away. I then open the task and see that it has advanced to the
next reocurring date. I have to closed the Reminder window to make the task
go away.

This is a bother. How can I have it clear out immediately as it did in OL
2002.
