New Version Number Doesn't Show After Updater

I have updated my Office Mac X to 10.1.2 in preparation for updating
to 10.1.4, however, even after restart, the applications fail to show
the new version numbers.

I am getting version info from Applications/Microsoft Office
X/Microsoft Entourage (and Word, etc). When I 1-click the app name,
the Info column shows the old version info from 2002.

How do I know the update installation "took" and how do I get the Info
to reflect the update?

Don;t worry. Not all applciations are updated in the process.
Check the version of the
/Microsoft Office X/Office/Microsoft Component Plugin

just to be sure.
