New version of Entourage on the way?

I heard a rumor of yet another update to Entourage coming from Microsoft in
the next few months? Can anyone confirm or deny?

Is there any word on if Microsoft will make Entourage a full MAPI client
capable of supporting MS Exchange in the same way as Outlook on a Windows
platform?

The MacTopia website implies that there will be information about the next
version of Office Mac: " Get a retrospective view of the products that
Microsoft has produced for the Mac platform since 1984, and get first-hand
look at what we¹ve got planned for the future"at MacWorld SF this week. I'd keep my eye on MacTopia tomorrow and Tuesday,
if I were you.

I wouldn't count on that. MAPI is a fusty, messy protocol held together by
bits of string. But I think it's reasonable to expect major improvements in
Entourage's Exchange support. v10.1.4 was rushed out, free, as soon as
humanly possible. I'm pretty sure they'd want to make improvements and
feature enhancements for a paid upgrade.
